Jacobina
The Convention created a public health committee chaired by Robespierre, who became a real dictator. This period lasted a year but is best known stage of the French Revolution. He was known for:
- The role of the popular classes. The understanding between Robespierre and the Sans-Culottes ushered in a republic governed by the Fourth Estate.
- The Terror, which gave name to this period by the high number of executions at the guillotine monarchists, Girondins, and even some Jacobins.
- The radicalization. It meant a complete break with the past. Calendar was replaced Christian won a revolution and the cult of the Goddess of Reason.
